Nominated for Golden Globe Award & Honored with 2023 Erasmus Prize
Trevor Noah has been nominated for Best Stand-Up Comedian in Television at the US Golden Globe Awards. The awards ceremony is set to take place on January 7th 2024
The South African comedian is nominated for his fourth Netflix stand-up comedy special, Trevor Noah: Where Was I, His nomination is part of two new categories that were added this year. Other nominees include Chris Rock, Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes.
The 2024 Golden Globes will air live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel on CBS and stream on Paramount+ on Sunday, January 7
Trevor Noah Honored with the Erasmus Prize
On the 28th of November Trevor Noah was awarded the prestigious 2023 Erasmus Prize by the Netherlands King Willem-Alexander in Amsterdam
The Erasmus Prize come with a cash price of €150,000 Euro – R3,080,045.10
The jury awarded the prize to Mr Noah for his inspired contribution to the theme of this year’s prize ‘In Praise of Folly.’ The theme is taken from the title of Erasmus’s most famous book, which is filled with humour, social criticism and political satire. With his talent for sharp, linguistic and inclusive political comedy, the jury found that Mr Noah upholds the ‘Erasmian Spirit.’
