Tyla has won the 2024 Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance with her song “Water.”
This is the category’s inaugural year, and other nominees include Asake and Olamide (“Amapiano”), Ayra Starr (“Rush”), Burna Boy (“City Boys”), and Davido featuring Musa Keys (“Unavailable”).

The 2023 hit, Water was top of the charts across 16 countries including the United Kingdom and the United States, “Water” will appear on Tyla’s self-titled first album, which will be released on March 22.
