Acclaimed television producer Duma Ka Ndlovu has been released on R100,000 bail by the Palm Ridge Specialised Commercial Crimes Court. Ndlovu faces tax evasion charges alongside two co-accused.
It is understood that Ka Ndlovu handed himself over to the police at the Brackendowns police station on Monday
The state alleges that Ka Ndlovu made misrepresentations in his income tax and corporate tax for his company Ambrobrite which resulted in Sars losing R25m.Mutsharini is a former tax practitioner. The state alleges that he and Mloyi helped Ka Ndlovu make the misrepresentations to Sars.
Co-accused Mutsharini and Mloyi received R50,000 bail each. The case was postponed to November 11, 2024, for further investigation.
The court imposed strict conditions:
- Mloyi and Mutsharini must surrender travel documents and report to their nearest police stations every Monday.
- Ndlovu must report to Sandton police station every Monday or Wednesday.
- All three must apply to the court for international travel.
