Tshilidzi Maraga, the former Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Chairperson in Limpopo, has made a political move by resigning from the party to join the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party. This decision comes on the heels of the EFF’s Vhembe regional structure being disbanded. Maraga’s resignation is linked to internal party changes, as she was reportedly removed as provincial chairperson due to underperformance
Tshilidzi Maraga says she decided to resign from the EFF to join the Umkhonto we Sizwe party after realising she was no longer wanted in the organization
She says the current provincial chairperson was handpicked and parachuted to the position with only one year in the organization, which is against the organization’s constitution.
The party leadership said the decision followed poor performance during the May general elections. The party obtained nine seats, two more than in the previous elections.
