
TS Galaxy cruised into the Nedbank Cup last 16 with a commanding 7-0 victory over amateur side Vasco da Gama. The Rockets showed no mercy, delivering a ruthless performance. Dzenan Zajmovic and Thokozani Sibanyoni each netted a brace, while Keagan Dolly, Marks Munyai, and Damien Sovsic also found the back of the net to complete the emphatic win.
Two minutes into the First Half Galaxy got their first breakthrough not looking back four goals were netted before halftime and three goals were scored during the second half of the game.
Despite the 7-goal lead the SAB side Vasco da Gama had the fighting spirit to at least get on the scoresheet early in the second stanza however failed to score a single goal.
Coach Andrew Pequeno, says they gave it there all against Galaxy. “First seven minutes they were two school boys errors, mistakes cost us it was difficult to come back against a top team like Galaxy.
”All our supporters at home, I just want to say thank you and sorry for the result but the boys gave out everything”, said the head coach of Vasco da Gama.
However, The journey continues for TS Galaxy as they will travel to KZN to play against a Motsepe Foundation Championship team Durban City FC.
