Suspects Feast on Chicken and Cooldrink During Bold Burglary in Tongaat

Tongaat, KwaZulu-Natal – In an audacious daytime burglary, intruders broke into a home on Saunders Circle, ransacked the property, and paused to enjoy a makeshift meal of chicken and cooldrink before fleeing with stolen goods.

The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon, though the exact time remains unknown. Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were alerted to the break-in and promptly dispatched officers to the scene.Upon arrival, reaction officers discovered that the suspects had forced open the rear door and burglar gate to gain entry.

The interior of the house had been thoroughly ransacked, with valuables including a flat-screen television, an air fryer, and an undisclosed amount of cash reported missing.

In a bizarre twist, the burglars appeared to treat the home like their own kitchen. They consumed chicken from the residents’ supplies, washed it down with cooldrink, and even used the microwave to heat their food. Evidence of the impromptu feast was left behind, including empty containers and bottles (as seen in accompanying images).

The suspects made an ambitious attempt to haul away the refrigerator but ultimately abandoned the effort, leaving the appliance behind.

No arrests have been made, and investigations are ongoing to identify the perpetrators. Residents in the area are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to local authorities or RUSA.
