British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe has sealed an agreement to acquire a minority stake in Manchester United. The British businessman has paid just over £1 billion to acquire 25% of the club and assume control of football operations. He will contribute an additional $300 million (R5,551,422,000.00)

Following a dismal first half of the season, Ratcliffe will determine whether to stick with the Dutch manager despite the club’s instability and lack of a formal process for firing the manager. United, which finished last in their Champions League group, is out from Europe.
