Shauwn Mkhize Forced To Sell Royal AM Footbal Club

BREAKING NEWSSPORT

Royal AM has been struggling with money problems since late 2024 after reports that its owner, Shawn Mkhize, owed more than R40 million to the South African Revenue Service (SARS).

The Betway Premiership club has been in chaos due to this huge debt, putting its future at risk. After a short court case, a decision was made that the club must be sold to pay off its debts, as ruled by SARS.

Facing possible liquidation, Royal AM’s players and staff are deeply worried about the club’s future. The Premier Soccer League (PSL) took the unusual step of suspending all Royal AM matches earlier this month as the situation worsened. This decision has left the football community seeking clarity amid the chaos, increasing frustration among fans eager to see their teams compete against Thwihli Thwahla.
