Defence Cross-Examines Ballistics Experts
The highly anticipated Senzo Meyiwa murder trial resumes today at the High Court in Pretoria, with the defence cross-examining two ballistics experts. Five men are standing trial for the murder of the former Bafana Bafana captain, who was tragically gunned down in October 2014.
Senzo Meyiwa was killed at the parental home of his former girlfriend, singer Kelly Khumalo, in Vosloorus, south-eastern Johannesburg.
The two ballistics experts, testifying today, have confirmed the findings of analyst Chris Mangena. Their testimony links one of the accused, Mthobisi Mncube, to Meyiwa’s murder. This critical evidence is expected to play a pivotal role in the trial’s outcome.
