African National Congress (ANC) National Executive Committee (NEC) member Pule Mabe and his co-accused appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court today, where they were granted bail of R30,000 each.The group faces corruption charges related to a R27-million tender awarded in 2017 for waste management services in Gauteng.
Mabe, the former ANC national spokesperson, is linked to Enviro-Mobi, a company contracted to deliver 200 motorized three-wheelers but failed to do so despite receiving over R25 million.
The suspects were released on bail, pending their next court appearance. The case has sparked attention due to Mabe’s high-ranking position within the ANC and previous allegations of fraud, money laundering, and theft.
