The Proteas aim to bounce back after a disappointing 59-47 defeat to Jamaica in the Margaret Beckford Sunshine Netball Series held in Kingston yesterday, January 22.
The Spar Proteas may not have had the best game however competitive spirit is still high, from the first quarter till the end they pushed it to the end. With a lot of positive impact, Sanmarie Visser caught the eye of the u21 Spar Proteas whilst playing for the North West University in the varsity Cup as she made her first debut in the U21 test series.

The Spar Proteas coach Jenny Van Dyk says there is a glimpse of brilliance coming through for the Proteas. “The players have done well, Jamaica was able to step a little after their first test and it showed by the 5-point lead in the quarter which we failed to manage that is important for us as we need to do the same step up in a competition like this and also important for us to play these top team.
“This is not the standard we will ever be okay with, we want to see if we can get a victory out of the final test. I am happy to actually have an opportunity to see where we are exposed if we are under this much pressure which gives us a guideline on what our focus should be moving forward”, said Van Vyk.
