Nigerian Politician collapse and dies while watching Bafana Bafana vs Nigeria game.
Renowned politician Dr. Cairo Ojuogboh, who hailed from Delta State, reportedly collapsed while watching the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Bafana Bafana of South Africa
Reports state that the politician died during a penalty kick against Nigeria
There were no goals scored throughout the first half of Wednesday night’s encounter. Later on, Nigeria took the lead when captain William Troost-Ekong converted a penalty. As the game went, Victor Osimhen appeared to seal the victory with an incredible counter-attack goal in the 85th minute. However, VAR stepped in, finding that Alhassan Yusuf fouled Percy Tau, and Teboho Mokoena scored from the penalty spot in injury time.
During Teboho Mokoena’s penalty, Dr. Cairo Ojuogboh reportedly collapsed, and efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.
As soon as a penalty kick was awarded against Nigeria during the AFCON match with South Africa on Wednesday’s semi-final clash in Bouake, Ivory Coast, he slumped.
May his Soul rest in eternal peace
