A 43-year-old Paraguayan national was arrested at OR Tambo International Airport on Sunday morning, after authorities discovered cocaine bullets in his stomach.
According to South African Police Service (SAPS) officials, the suspect arrived on a flight from São Paulo, Brazil, at 7:00 am. A medical examination revealed the presence of foreign objects in his stomach, which led to further investigation.
“The suspect has expelled over 20 cocaine bullets, and our investigation is ongoing,” said a SAPS spokesperson. The suspect is expected to appear in court soon, facing charges related to drug trafficking.
