Pan African Parliament: Duduzile Zuma & Pambo Make Debut

The Pan African Parliament has officially welcomed a high-profile delegation from South Africa, including two new faces making their debut at the continental body.

Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla from the MK Party and Vuyani Pambo from the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) attended the Pan African Parliament for the first time, They were joined by seasoned lawmakers Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane and Mdumiseni Ntuli from the African National Congress (ANC), who have previously participated in the parliament’s proceedings.

The Chairperson of the Pan African Parliament, His Excellency Chief Fortune Charumbira, extended a warm reception to the delegation, marking the beginning of a productive collaboration between the South African lawmakers and the continental body.

The four members were appointed by both Houses of Parliament to serve as members of the continental legislative body.

The PAP also promotes, among other things, the coordination and harmonisation of policies, measures, programmes, and activities of the Regional Economic Communities and the parliamentary fora on the continent.

During today’s plenary session, the Members received presentations on various topics affecting the continent’s development, such as peace and security, climate change, and the poor implementation of Agenda 2063.
