National Convoy Committee (NCC) President Fadiel Adams has come out in defense of former President Jacob Zuma’s legacy, praising his efforts in supporting South Africa’s poor.
“Jacob Zuma is the only president in the history of this country that has delivered something for the poor, the fact that our people abuse social grants is not Jacob Zuma's fault. You know when that man came into the seat South Africans were dying of HIV, Thabo Mbeki denied that… pic.twitter.com/bNMNYsDxGm

“Jacob Zuma is the only president in our country’s history who has delivered something for the poor,” Adams stated. “When he took office, South Africans were dying from HIV, which Thabo Mbeki had denied existed.”
Adams acknowledged criticisms surrounding Zuma’s presidency, particularly the Nkandla scandal, but emphasized that no president is perfect. “They will smear him with Nkandla for the rest of his life, and I think that’s fair criticism. We’ve never had a perfect president.”In contrast, Adams criticized current President Cyril Ramaphosa for neglecting the poor. “Cyril Ramaphosa has no time for the poor.”
Adams also highlighted the intellectual capacity of the MK Party and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), citing seven PhD holders within the collective. “MkhontoweSizwe is a collective; they’ve got seven PhDs in there – these are not stupid people.”
