
The National Officials of the uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MK Party) held their second meeting of 2025 on Wednesday, February 19th. This constitutional structure, which has decision-making powers between National High Command meetings, made significant decisions impacting the MK mother body, the Leagues, Fraternal Organizations, and Public Representatives.

The uMkhonto weSizwe Party Youth League announced the appointment of new Provincial Detachments, marking a significant step in their commitment to justice, equality, and freedom for the youth. Emphasizing the importance of youth as the vanguard of revolutionary change, the League aims to address systemic inequalities, unemployment, and marginalization.
The Youth League highlighted the severe challenges faced by young people in South Africa, including high unemployment rates, poverty, and various forms of abuse. They stressed the need for action to empower youth through education and opportunities, safeguard children, and lead the fight for systemic change.
The newly appointed leaders in provinces such as KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and Gauteng are tasked with mobilizing communities and transforming these challenges into opportunities for hope and renewal. The League says it remains determined to break the chains of poverty, drug abuse, teenage pregnancy, hopelessness, and landlessness, ensuring that every young South African can reclaim their dignity and thrive in a just and equal society.
