The much anticipated court case between the Umkhonto weSizwe (MK) party and the Indepentdent Electoral Commission (IEC) has been postponed to the 21 January 2025.
The case, which centers around Musawenkosi Mnikathi, an official of the IEC serving in the Imbali, Pietermaritzburg area, who is said to have allegedly moved 4 ballot box without the necessary and proper supervision during the May 2024 national and provincial elections.

The adjournment of the case means that the case will only be heard on the set date, and that Mnikathi is out on warning until then.
Supporters of the MK party gathered outside the Magistrates court, eager to hear what the courts final verdict would be, and to further voice their concerns on the matter at hand.
