Former President of South Africa and MK Party President, Jacob Zuma, accompanied by his son Duduzane, arrived at the Wembezi Stadium in Escourt, KwaZulu-Natal, to attend a memorial service honoring six MK party members who tragically lost their lives in a car accident two weeks ago.
The fatal accident occurred on the 31st of August at approximately 11:00 am when the group was en route to Nkandla for a birthday celebration of Mrs. Zuma, the wife of the MKP leader.
According to MKP spokesperson, Nhlamulo Ndhlela, the party members were traveling in a minibus taxi from Estcourt to Nkandla when the accident happened. Ten other members sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
