The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education has expressed deep concern over allegations of fraud involving an individual, Ms. Amahle Nene-Sishi, who is accused of scamming individuals by falsely promising teaching jobs in exchange for payment.
In a statement, the Department strongly disassociated itself from the individual and condemned any form of fraudulent activity aimed at exploiting job seekers. It has come to light that Nene-Sishi allegedly used photographs taken with senior officials, including MEC for Education, Mr. Sipho Hlomuka, to deceive victims into believing she had the authority to offer employment within the Department.

MEC Sipho Hlomuka has firmly stated that neither he nor any officials within the Department are involved in these criminal activities. He encouraged individuals affected by the scam to promptly report the matter to law enforcement authorities.
We strongly condemn any form of corruption and fraudulent activity. I urge those who have been deceived to immediately contact the police. The matter has been referred to law enforcement, and we will cooperate fully to ensure justice,” Hlomuka stated.
The Department reiterated its commitment to ethical recruitment practices and advised the public to be cautious of fraudulent schemes. All official job openings within the Department are announced through reliable channels such as its website, social media, and other credible platforms.
