Fikile Mbalula asked all members of the ANC and the country at large to keep the Gordhan family in prayer
African National Congress (ANC) SG Fikile Mbalula has denounced the spread of fake news and disturbing death wishes against Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan. Mbalula expressed his concern over the extreme rhetoric, stating, “Those who are opposed to Pravin Gordhan seem to be on the overdrive of fake news, including some even making public statements to wish him dead, which is un-African and not in line with the principles of Ubuntu.”
Mbalula emphasized the importance of respectful discourse, even in the face of disagreement, saying, “Even if you differ with a person, you don’t wish anyone dead.” He praised Gordhan’s commitment to truth and humanity, highlighting his contributions during the struggle for freedom and his ongoing efforts to serve the nation.
“Pravin Gordhan stood for the truth and he stood for what is good for humanity, from the days of struggle he was there,” Mbalula said
