
KwaZulu-Natal ABC Motsepe League Durban Pioneers FC has confirmed the signing of the former Orlando Pirate and Richards Bay FC midfielder, Abel Mabaso who landed himself a fresh start at SAFA KZN ABC Motsepe League side Durban Pioneers FC ahead of the league’s second round of the season.
The 33-year-old footballer has a wide range of talent as he served various teams in the SA top flights, including Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates, Richards Bay FC, Mpumalanga Black Aces, Maritzburg United, Ajax Cape Town, and Chippa United.
The KZN side is looking to reach their qualification for the ABC League playoffs and the potential promotion to the Motsepe Foundation championship. The club is already rich in experience, with the likes of Mzuvela Skhosana, and Sibusiso Khumalo both ex-Kaizer Chiefs players, and Sinethemba Mngomezulu played for Richards Bay FC, Stellenbosch, and TS Galaxy.
Durban Pioneers is currently fourth in the Stream A of the KZN ABC Motsepe League table, with 14 points from nine outings. They are five points behind stream leaders Njampela FC.
