Wellington Lerato Malete, the former manager of socialite Cyan Boujee, has come out to expose the truth behind their fallout. He spoke to Sunday World and revealed how Cyan, whose real name is Honour Zuma, allegedly assaulted him in Nelspruit last weekend. He also accused her of being a bully and a liar who has lost many fans and friends.
Malete says he started working with Cyan in June last year, and their relationship was strictly business. He says he tried to protect her brand and deal with her issues, but she was too difficult to work with. He says she often missed gigs, caused trouble, and demanded money from him.
He says their first dispute happened two weeks after they started working together, when Cyan failed to pitch up for gigs. They blocked each other but later reconciled. Their second dispute happened in December, when Cyan asked him for his bank statement to buy a car. He refused, and she gave him an attitude.
Lerato Malete says she missed two gigs
He says things got worse in January, when Cyan followed him to Cape Town without being booked. He says she missed two gigs in Khayelitsha and did not have money to book a flight back. He says he had to use the money from her Nelspruit gig to pay back the people she had cancelled on in Cape Town.
He says that Cyan was unhappy with this and confronted him in Nelspruit. She accused him of stealing from her, and she hit him with an object. He says he could not fight back and left the scene with his car. He posted a photo of his injured eye on social media.
Cyan, however, denies all the allegations and says that Malete is the one who wronged her. She says that he forced her to be with older men and lied about her being broke. She also denies that she assaulted him and says that he was the one who bit her on the arm.

Cyan Boujee’s violence history
Malete also mentions that Cyan has a history of violence and theft. She was previously accused of assaulting social media influencer Paballo Noko and stealing an iPhone 13. However, both cases were dropped due to a lack of evidence.
The police have confirmed that they are investigating the case of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. They say that both parties were injured and separated by the witnesses. No arrests have been made yet.
