Motsepe Foundation Championship side Durban City have secured Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Luvuyo Phewa on a permanent deal.
Luvuyo was loaned to Amazulu FC last year for a few months but he struggled to get some game time and opted to go back to his parenting club Mamelodi Sundowns
This will be a huge boost to the club as they are on a race to get promotion to the Betway Primiership, they are currently number 1 on the log with 31points in 16 matches
Phewa departed from Sundowns without making an appearance in any competition. He now joins Durban City’s latest signings, including Victor Bakah, Olwethu Mzimela, Syanda Hlangabeza, Senzo Ndlovu, and Siphephelo Majola.
Durban City will be in action this Friday as they go head-to-head with a formidable Kruger United at Chatsworth Stadium. Kickoff is set for 19:30.
