Former U.S. President Donald Trump will now stand trial in his New York State criminal hush money case with jury selection due to start on March 25th in Manhattan.
This after a judge refused to dismiss the the 34-felony count indictment bought by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg in a case related to hush-money payments made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels in the run-up to the 2016 election.
A grand jury voted to indict the former President who is charged with falsifying business records to cover up the 130-thousand dollar payment to the porn star during the 2016 election campaign, in return for her silence over a sexual encounter she claims to have had with Trump a decade earlier.
