H.E. President Emmerson Mnangagwa took time off from his leave to meet with Zimbabwean inventor Maxwell Chikumbutso at State House, where the two discussed an innovative technology set to revolutionise energy generation and transportation.

Chikumbutso has developed a pioneering microsonic energy device capable of converting naturally occurring radio frequencies into pure energy.

This groundbreaking technology, designed by Chikumbutso himself, is said to power generators, motorbikes, and motor vehicles without relying on conventional fuel sources. He said that the radio frequencies utilised by the device occur naturally across the earth and sea, making this energy solution both accessible and sustainable.

Chikumbutso revealed that global interest in his invention has skyrocketed, with many eagerly awaiting its official launch in Zimbabwe on February 10. One of the standout products powered by this groundbreaking technology is an advanced electric vehicle called the Saith.

Developed in collaboration with a Chinese company that supplied the vehicle shell and basic components, the Saith boasts an unlimited driving range, a top speed of 220 km/h, and autonomous self-parking and driving capabilities. Remarkably, manufacturing costs for each unit stand at just US$14,000.

Speaking at the meeting, President Mnangagwa hailed Chikumbutso as a brilliant inventor, saying that his world-first innovation has the potential to reshape the global energy landscape. The President further stressed the importance of nurturing local talent, stating that such groundbreaking developments align perfectly with the national vision encapsulated in the mantra “Nyika Inovakwa Nevene Vayo” (A Nation is Built by Its Own People).

Plans are already in motion to establish a vehicle manufacturing plant in Zimbabwe to produce cars powered by Chikumbutso’s revolutionary technology. The move is expected to position the country as a leader in alternative energy-driven transportation.

With the upcoming product launch, the world will be watching Zimbabwe as it steps into the future of clean and limitless energy.
