Premier Lesufi spent Sunday addressing speculation on social media platform X about the delay in announcing his executive team.
He has disputed reports that Ramaphosa had instructed him to include members of the Democratic Alliance (DA) in his Cabinet.
Lesufi said that the hold-up was because negotiators had requested more time, adding that these were not usual negotiations but they were extremely complicated and difficult.
Lesufi was sworn in as premier last week, he has been in office for a week, but has yet to announce his executive council.
